In poultry farming, certain animals at certain periods must be given sufficiently bulky and fibrous feed to lengthen the ingestion time in order to improve their well-being and health while avoiding aggressiveness. The addition of straw in formulation can be a solution to meet these objectives.

The high durability of the pellets is the result of a mechanical granulation only (without addition of additives) which ensures a sufficient temperature rise to eliminate the majority of germs. An adapted and specific storage logistics with microbiological control during the process allows to limit any possible recontamination later.
